Central Virginia experiences 3.0 magnitude earthquake
(DILLWYN, Va.) – The National Weather Service and the US Geological Survey department have reported a 3.0 magnitude earthquake in Central Virginia on May 6.
According to the USGS, a 3.0 magnitude earthquake occurred between Dillwyn and Farmville just after 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
The National Weather Service reported receiving reports of people feeling shaking throughout the west-central Virginia region.
Data shows the quake was recorded at 13 stations and a depth of 8.0 km.
No injuries were reported.
